Earth Mother - Roots

This is my first collection since returning to making. It is an ode to my safta (grandma in Hebrew), and to my roots.

The bottles are inspired by my safta’s pots, the candlesticks remember countless generations of women bringing in the sabbath with the lighting of candles. The painted terracotta bowls are like objects common to most of the lands of my foremothers. The work is firmly planted in the earth.
