Asherah idol 1

An idol of Asherah.
 
The Asherah collection is made in honour of the Canaanite Goddess, the Great Mother. It’s surfaces echo her home by the sea and the groves of trees in which she was worshipped.
 
This idol was handbuilt in terracotta, decorated with slip, a copper glaze and a crawl glaze, and fired to earthenware temperatures.
