Asherah bottle 07

A bottle vase from the Asherah collection.
 
The Asherah collection is made in honour of the Canaanite Goddess, the Great Mother. It’s surfaces echo her home by the sea and the groves of trees in which she was worshipped.
 
This bottle was wheel thrown and then carved in terracotta, decorated in slip and a copper glaze and fired to earthenware temperatures.
 
Dimensions (cm): H 9.5, W 6, D 6.
 
These objects are decorative, they are low fired and still porous, if you want to put flowers in them, dried look beautiful.
